DETAILS:
20 Students
volunteers are
needed to assist
with Convention
registration,
registration
desk support,
session room
monitoring,
Hospitality/Silent
Auction, Exhibit
Hall and that
always-essential
“and other
assignments as
designated by”
the Student
Volunteer
Coordinator.
A student must
commit to a
minimum of two
days of service.
Each student
volunteer will
have their
Convention
registration fee
paid by TxHIMA
and the student
shall receive
the benefits of
paid attendees
depending upon
the volunteer’s
schedule.
Volunteers will
be selected on a
first come first
served basis.
Travel and
lodging is the
student’s
responsibility.
There will be a
Volunteer
Orientation,
June 26,
Saturday, time
to be
determined. All
accepted
volunteers will
be honored at
the Volunteer
Brunch, Sunday,
June 27 @ 10:30
– 11:30 a.m.
There is no
charge.
Students will be
able to attend
sessions,
network with
health
information
professionals,
students, visit
the Exhibit Hall
and Silent
Auction between
volunteer
duties.
Volunteerism in
the Health
Information
arena can be a
part of a
student’s
resume.
