- President (Elect, Active, Past: 3-Year Term)
(Term: January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028) - Director — Corporate Relations
(Term: January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027) - Director — Finance
(Term: January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027) - Director — Marketing/Communications/Social Media (Term: January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027)

We invite member input on identifying qualified and motivated nominees and encourage each TxHIMA member to consider serving as a Board member or officer to help TxHIMA remain vital and prosperous.
Nomination Deadline: July 31, 2025. Voting Period: August 24 – September 15, 2025. Terms begin January 1, 2026.
The Call for Nominations will be open until July 31, 2025. The guidelines and procedures for making nominations and the board member and officer responsibilities, are described below.
The credentials of each nominee will be verified by the Nominating Committee. Every nominee must be a member in good standing, both in the profession and in the Association.
Nomination Details
- TxHIMA will provide complete candidate information to all TxHIMA Members.
- Information submitted by the nominees via the Call for Nominations should include all information the candidate feels is pertinent to their nomination. This information will be provided several times throughout the election cycle to all TxHIMA Members.
- Formal slate of candidates will be announced by the TxHIMA Board of Directors and anyone announcing their candidacy in advance of the formal announcement will be immediately disqualified.
- Those serving on the TxHIMA Board of Directors may not also hold office with their Local Chapter or any other HIM related Board within Texas. Directors may hold office on Boards which are not related to HIM, such as charitable organizations, or local governmental boards.
- Nominees may campaign using personal contacts, but are strictly prohibited from using the TxHIMA Membership Lists for campaigning. Local Chapters can endorse candidates and may notify their members of this endorsement. Nominees may use campaign flyers, business cards or other campaign literature and this information may be made available at Local Chapter meetings with prior approval by the TxHIMA Nominating Committee and the Local Chapter Leadership. The TxHIMA Logo is not to be used on campaign materials. Emails should come from the nominee’s personal email, not a work email account. Emails must be clear that the message is from the person who is a candidate for a TxHIMA Board position. Nominees must include a disclosure at the bottom of the message: “This message is on behalf of the ballot candidate. It does not reflect the views of TxHIMA, nor is it sponsored or endorsed by TxHIMA. E-mail addresses were not provided by TxHIMA.”
- A violation of any of these prohibitions is grounds for immediate disqualification of the nominee and removal from the slate of candidates.

Director
- All Directors attend monthly Board Meeting
- All Directors attend virtual Board Retreat in January 2026
- Operational support for meeting setup, minutes, and committee rosters provided by CMP Management
President-Elect
- Attend monthly Executive Board Meeting
- Attend monthly Board Meeting
- President-Elect and President attend House of Delegates meeting prior to AHIMA National Conference (travel expenses pay by TXHIMA)
- President attends the AHIMA Leadership Summit (travel expenses paid by AHIMA)
- Average time spent: 5 hours per month
