The Texas Health Information Association (TxHIMA) supports and promotes broader communications and increased TxHIMA member participation in the issues, concerns and goals of TxHIMA and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). TxHIMA’s elected representatives to the AHIMA House of Delegates represent TxHIMA in AHIMA House of Delegates activities and decisions.
Currently based on the state’s number of members, TxHIMA is allowed 5 delegates in AHIMA’s House of Delegates. Each delegate from TxHIMA is a member of TxHIMA Board of Directors.
