Karol Foster, MSN, RN, has been a dedicated member of MD Anderson Cancer Center for over 18 years. She began her career as a Charge Nurse on the Pediatric floor, where she worked the night shift, before transitioning to the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) department in 2012.

In 2016, Karol earned her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University. She served as a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist until October 2022, when she was promoted to the role of CDI Manager.

In her leadership role, Karol has been instrumental in developing and implementing a comprehensive CDI orientation program for virtual and hybrid new hires, as well as creating a centralized CDI Teams site that serves as a key resource for policies, education, meeting documentation, and scheduling.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Karol enjoys spending time with her family and visiting the beach.
