Sherry Blessing brings over 30 years of expertise to the field of Health Information Management. She currently serves as the Director of Operations and Compliance for Health Information Management Services at Texas Health Resources. In this role, she provides strategic leadership for documentation compliance, transcription services, and electronic document management across multiple facilities. Since assuming her position in July 2023, Sherry has successfully implemented standardized medical record completion policies, productivity benchmarks, and suspension procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.

Her initiatives include optimizing transcription and replacing the technology for front end speech recognition, updating the plan of care processes to meet CMS signature requirements, and reducing point of care unscanned documents through targeted education and process improvements. Sherry’s commitment to operational excellence and compliance has strengthened workflows and enhanced patient care documentation standards.
